A Taco the Turtle Story

A Taco the Turtle Story

Taco loved wandering through the woods at the end of a long day. One evening he found the perfect spot to rest. It was a small clearing surrounded by stones with stars quietly glowing overhead. He built a campfire, sat down, and began to strum his old guitar.
But the melody kept falling apart.
Taco wanted to play fast and learn the whole song at once. He hoped he could make it perfect on the first try. The more he rushed, the more tangled the notes became. Finally he sighed, placed the guitar on his lap, and stared into the fire.
That is when Taco remembered something his grandfather used to say.

“Slow work is steady work, and steady work becomes beautiful.”
So Taco tried again.

This time he played at a turtle’s tempo. He went slowly enough to hear each note and patiently enough to enjoy them. The song did not come together all at once, but each small improvement made the fire feel warmer and the stars shine brighter.
By the time the moon rose high, Taco was not playing perfectly.

He was playing peacefully.
And that was enough.

Lesson

Great things do not happen by rushing. They happen by taking one honest step at a time with patience and joy in the process.
